Robin’s career spans over the marine, industrial and aerospace sectors, combining hands-on technical expertise with specialist coating knowledge.

After studying Boat Design and Production at a marine school in the south of England from 2003 to 2005, Robin completed a four-year Surface Finishing Apprenticeship in 2009 at one of the world’s leading yacht builders. He went on to progress into a team lead position, contributing to multiple new-build yachts and refits, including overseas assignments.

In 2014, Robin transitioned into defence aerospace as a certified aircraft finisher, maintaining, finishing military helicopters and fighter jets. Since 2019, he has operated as a self-employed Paint Consultant at leading superyacht shipyards in Northern Europe, working closely with contractors and paint manufacturers to support the successful delivery of new-build vessels up to 145m LOA.

Robin holds the AMPP Certified Coating Inspector Level 2 qualification and VCA health and safety certification.
